What is Vision Therapy?

Vision therapy is an individualized program of activities and exercises to improve patients visual skills. Glasses can correct our vision to 20/20, but visual skills such as eye-tracking, focusing, and eye-teaming must be learned.

Deficiencies in these can cause conditions such as lazy eye or eye turn, and difficulties with reading, memory, or focus. Vision therapy is not only for children, our visual skills can improve at any age.

What is Neuro-Optometry?

Neuro-optometry is a specialty that looks at the visual problems caused by neurological disease and traumatic or acquired brain injury.

These can often be overlooked on initial evaluation, but can significantly impact vision, balance, mobility, and ability to complete activities of daily living.
